Teustes is the digital home for the independent historical and history-of-knowledge research conducted by Svante Hellberg, with a particular focus on classical studies, the history of archaeology, popular education, and cultural heritage. The name derives from Jordanes' ancient designation for the people of Tjust — read more about the Tjust region and its history here.

In time, the aim is also to make specific databases, such as Limina rerum, and material within Project: Bergman available as open access through the site.

Project: Bergman is a research project examining the professionalisation and establishment of classical archaeology in Sweden during the period c. 1850–1950, as well as the integration of Swedish research and education into international scholarly networks and environments. Its first stage is an in-depth study of the classical archaeologist, popular educator, and temperance advocate Johan Bergman (1864–1951) and his wide-ranging activities.
